Reading music and practicing instruments? This free printable provides practice for “lassoing” a 4/4 measure several ways. An answer key is provided.
The pages have a Western theme in case the child is wearing cowboy boots! Haha. Really, a Western theme is engaging to many children. Why say “circle” when we can say “lasso?” So here is a sample page.
And another way to find 4 beats in a measure may be practiced on this page.

While we are working on this theme, of course, this is math. So I added some 3 addend work pages as well, including answer keys. Students will find sums of 10, 15, 25, 17, and 21. Yee, haw!
