Valentine Activities, Puzzles Free PDF plus Craft Idea
This post has free Valentine activities and printables for children ages 2-7. Scroll down for the second printable. Children ages 2 through 7 helped test the materials. They do not require much prep and are pretty much print, cut, and go. Teachers and homeschools are very busy and it is difficult to take much time to prepare materials just for Valentine’s Day, so I hope you find these useful.
The first printable is an instant download and is a free item with Valentine puzzles and Sudoku 4 X 4 and 6 X 6 puzzles. There is a page for counting and graphing as well as two skip counting puzzles. Freebies on TpT have to be 10 pages or less so this is a variety pack.
Sudoku works like logic puzzles, one picture only in a row or column. If this, then this thinking and persistence help form problem solutions. If that doesn’t help, then check the answer keys which are included.
Here is an example of a skip counting puzzle being worked on. It is included in the printable.
The second freebie is for preschool ages 2 and up. This is a hearts and Valentine’s matching activities printable.
One of the activities in this printable is matching hearts which may be glued on milk bottle caps or just used as paper cut-outs. Match to the circles, or . . . match the heart shapes.
Also, it is fun to use Sharpies to color on doily shaped Valentines, which is an activity for children able to do detailed coloring. A piece of paper should be placed underneath the doily to prevent marks on the tabletop. This is not included in the printable and a paper doily would be used.
We hope your students or children enjoy some of these activities. Thank you for reading,
