Pajama Day Free Printable

This post has a pajama day free printable to accompany the book Fancy Nancy: Pajama Day.

This book is an I Can Read Level 1 Reader, and was written by Jane O’Connor.

This short and highly illustrated Level 1 “I Can Read” story is simple but includes seven great vocabulary words.  This is the perfect book for a class or school-wide Pajama Day.  Fancy Nancy could have worn the same PJ’s as her friends who call themselves twins all day, making her feel excluded.  She, of course, had to be fancy.  It all works out by the end of the book, and the three girls play together after school.

My free PDF pages include vocabulary work, writing a fancy sentence, making a student graph, and coloring in pajamas to cut out and paste on  a large class graph.  Large color words are included for printing for a class graph made of the PJ’s students color in this PDF.  Just print the pages wanted.

Fancy Nancy Pajama Day work page graph and keyJane O’Connor is the author of more than thirty books for children.  Scroll down on the book name link for author information.

This book is great for vocabulary building, as Fancy Nancy uses  big words to describe her fancy, imaginative play.  If you read to a child 4-8 and want to help extend his or her vocabulary, this book is a great choice.  After reading together, the adult reader could begin adding “fancy” words to the everyday events in the child’s life.

Happy PJ day!
