Free Little Red Hen Play Script

Little Red Hen This post has a free Little Red Hen Play Script. Ian Nicholls of Masketeers and Request Clip Art online has such nice animal art, and he recently made a chick that is so cute for this time of the year.  I was inspired to write a free play for THE LITTLE RED HEN.  I used his art by the lines each character says, so the children will see when it is time to read.  Then I made character signs that may be laminated and saved from year to year.  I punch holes and make necklace type signs for each character to wear during the play.  This may be used as a readers’ theater, and it is necessary for learners to memorize their lines.  I have more plays similar to this one coming up, so stay tuned. The actual masks may be purchased at Masketeers, and they may be used with many reading plays and stories.

The script reading parts are identified with pictures of the characters.

Each reader may wear a sign name tag identifying his or her part in the play, such as the dog.

The duck sign looks like this. Each part is identified with a word and image.

I hope you enjoy using this script.
